Stargate Atlantis Series 5 DVD-THE FINALE
Oh Stargate Atlantis, how I used to enjoy those very late night showings. I didn't discover it until is was long past being on prime time. I was surprised to learn that other people enjoyed the quirky fun. For fans like me, we will all be able to sit back and have some Stargate marathons with the release Of The Series 5 DVD.
It is this their fifth and final season Stargate Atlantis Season 5 has by far been the best season just ask any avid sci-fi fan. When Richard Woolsey takes over as head of the Atlantis team taking the place of Samantha Carter, the kid gloves come off and his power is tested. Combine this with the personal challenges that arise for McKay, Teyla and Ronan to get episode upon episode of action packed, sci-fi and drama all rolled into one.
This series although listed under the genre of sci-fi, truly offers something for viewers who are sci-fi buffs and for those who are not. A perfect combination that allows for the interpersonal drama of characters to be intertwined, this has truly been an incredible series to follow beginning to end.
You get 20 episodes in this set. It is so much that it had to go on 5 whole discs. These were ones that aired from 2008-2009. The extras are what got me for this. There are a ton of them. I love the extended scenes and especially the commentary that give you some juicy tidbits. The extra part that has some of the behind the scenes action is particularly fun. Can you even imagine how funny it would be sometimes doing a show like this. There is so much that is left to the imagination and special effects.
A lot of people were smart enough to place early orders and already have theirs. Others only have to look online and it is easy to find. For those of you that are working on fattening up your sci-fi collection at home, this is a box for the shelf. It can go right next to Dr Who and the next generation of Star Trek.
